Fuel prices: despite the government discount, the price of diesel explodes and approaches 2 euros per liter at the pump

Last week the price of diesel exploded in France.

Declining for several weeks, price per liter of diesel and unleaded 95/E10 are oriented to the halso for the week of August 22 to 28according to data from Ministry of Ecological Transition published on Monday. These prices take into account the government discount of 15 cents excluding tax.

The price per liter of diesel even continues a second week of consecutive increase, following eight of decrease, and records a increase of 10 cents, i.e. +5.6%. It reached between August 22 and 28 €1.95/l on average in the territory ( once morest €1.84 the previous week).

At €1.74 per literthe price of SP95 picks up once more very slightly for the first time since early June. The previous week, it had been raised to an average of €1.73/l in the territory.

Diesel is approaching 2 euros per litre.
