It is on the occasion of gamescom 2022 that Lies of P gave his news, accompanied a nice gameplay trailer. No precise release date has been communicated for the moment, except for a wave 2023. On the other hand, we know that Lies of P will be available on PC and next-gen consoles, PS5 and Xbox Series. The game will also be available Day One sur le Xbox GamePass !
What are the studios behind Lies of P?
Discovered almost a year ago, Lies of P already interested many players, with its visuals, gameplay and atmosphere reminiscent of FromSoftware’s famous Dark Souls license. It must be recognized that the game borrows many aspects from it, while remaining original thanks to its history. Lies of P is developed by South Korean studios Round8 Studio (Blessed Unleashed) et Neowizthe latter also being the publisher.
What is the story of Lies of P?
Lies of P revisits the famous tale to the wooden puppet, but with a much darker vibe in a world inspired by the Belle Epoque. The player takes on the role of Pinocchio as he wakes up in an abandoned train station in Krat, a city overwhelmed by madness and macabre violence. Its mission is to find the mysterious Mr. Geppetto and nothing will stop it. But in this quest, he cannot trust anyone and will even have to lie if he hopes to become a human.
What is the gameplay of Lies of P?
Lies of P is a game action-adventure and an RPG (Roleplay). The players must explore the city in search of Mr. Geppettoand face the many dangers of the city of Krat, which they must heal from the chaos that eats away at it. Certain specificities were obviously inspired by the tale. Pinocchio being a puppet, it is possible to change parts of his body to gain new abilities, especially for combat, where weapon combinations create new ones. Another specificity from the famous tale, the hero must choose between truth and lies many times to advance in the story. These choices impact the plot of the gameand also define the different endings of the plot promised by the developers.
