Emirates News Agency – Dubai Police discusses in an “Inspiring Reality” session the impact of supporting rational leadership in empowering women

DUBAI, 28th August / WAM / The Department of Child and Women Protection in the General Department of Human Rights of the Dubai Police organized a dialogue session in conjunction with Emirati Women’s Day under the title “An inspiring reality… a sustainable future”, during which it shed light on the impact of supporting wise leadership in empowering and achieving women. For qualitative achievements in various fields.

The session, moderated by Lieutenant-Colonel Souad Yousef, Administrative Officer in the General Department of Criminal Investigation and Investigation, was presented by Colonel Jamila Al-Zaabi, Director of the Women’s Prison Department in the General Department of Punitive and Correctional Institutions, Colonel Wedad Saif bin Moizah, Administrative Officer in the General Department of Human Rights, and Dr. Maryam Al-Matrooshi, Radiologist in the Department Forensic medicine in the General Department of Forensic Evidence and Criminology in Dubai Police.

Colonel Jamila Al Zaabi touched on the role of Emirati women in work and excellence in the performance of their job duties, noting that the leadership of the UAE has empowered women and contributed to strengthening their position by giving them all the rights that help them to work side by side with men in the service of the nation and its promotion.

Colonel Wedad Saif bin Moizah noted the empowerment of women in the UAE in the past fifty years, reviewing the role of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, founder of the Federation, in achieving the positive participation of women in sustainable development, as well as reviewing the role of the late Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan May God have mercy on him in supporting Emirati women in reaching senior positions and jobs.

For her part, Dr. Maryam Al Matrooshi said regarding the importance of “foreseeing the future of women in all fields and sectors,” noting that the wise leadership of the UAE has supported Emirati women in education to reach their advanced positions in various fields, urging those present at the session to the importance of acquiring knowledge, which is considered “Women’s Weapon” in achieving leadership and excellence.

Dr. Al-Matrooshi reviewed a number of studies on the reality of women in the world and the challenges they face, in addition to reviewing the results of the impact of the blessing of security and safety in the Emirates on women, as the UAE ranked first regionally and 24 globally according to the “Women, Safety and Security 2021” index.
