Al-Marsad newspaper: Experts and doctors have warned of the danger of what some are promoting as a “genius trick” to save a person from a stroke by pricking his fingers with a needle to let blood drain from them.
They denied any relationship between the blood liquefaction from the fingers and the treatment of the clot, stressing that it may delay the ambulance of the injured and lead to his life if he does not receive the appropriate treatment in a timely manner.
The Lebanese neurologist, Joseph Matar, said that the stroke may result either from a blockage in the blood vessels, which leads to the cessation of oxygen flow to the brain and the death of cells, or from bleeding in the brain. According to Agence France-Presse.
He pointed out that the treatments for thrombosis vary according to their type and are given following being diagnosed in the hospital, stressing that there is no relationship between the flow of blood from the fingers and the course of blood circulation in the human body.
