Kodiyeri Balakrishnan will step down as CPIM secretary

Kodiyeri Balakrishnan will step down as CPIM state secretary. The state committee will meet shortly to decide on a replacement secretary. M.A. Baby and M. Vijayaraghavan are in the list of possibilities (kodiyeri balakrishnan will step down as CPIM secretary).

EP Jayarajan and AK Balan are under consideration. MV Govindan is also very likely. If MV Govindan becomes the CPIM state secretary or LDF convenor, there may be a big shake-up, including in the cabinet.
