Livret A: this incredible increase that will please all savers!

For several months now, thegeneral inflation in France spares no area. the cost of all goods and services has increased, which represents a real blow for the French. Thus, with the value of the euro which also seems to be decreasing, the Livret A had already been able to have an upgrade in seeing its rate of return increase. But the latter will still be able to observe an increase. We’ll explaine everything here.

A measure once morest inflation

According to François Villeroy, Governor of the Banque de France, inflation is breaking records. Last July, over one year, inflation exceeded 6.1%. A score not achieved since 1985. This economic situation in France is most disturbing. The French are finding it more and more difficult to finish the months, especially for those who already had to tighten their belts. Whether it’s for shopping, for eating, for back to school or for energy bills, everything seems disproportionately expensive.

It is this very complex situation that has forced the Banque de France to act to give, too, a helping hand to the French. Of course, it’s his way. But thus, she took the big decision to change the rate of return of the booklet A. This is normally scheduled for the month of August. And although all seem in favor of such a measure, yet no figures have been given. In addition, Livret A books have a fairly low ceiling, which means that the return can never exceed a certain amount.

Thus, the government team would work to make proposals to the State, and it is the latter who will decide on the rate of return which will be kept. The revaluation will not necessarily be a large percentage, but a rate of 2% seems to be expected all the same.

Booklet A, the details

It is very often that the French having a bank in their country have the possibility of having a Livret A. This is usually the account where the savings are placed. But this so-called savings account does not actually allow not that much savings and for good reason. The money must have remained in the account for one year. But also, its rate of return is 1% which is relatively low. But if with large sums, it is possible to have a return that is worth a good sum, it is still on the condition of being able to save a lot of money. Off, the Livret A has a fairly small ceiling.

Thereby, the maximum limit of the Livret A is 22,950 euros, with a return of 1%, so you can “earn” 229.5 euros. This is why if the rate of return is doubled to 2%, the return would also be twice as advantageous. On the condition, of course, of leaving this sum in the account so that it saving.

Possible optimization?

There are specific dates when the money that is on your Livret A is compatibility. Thus, before carrying out bank transactions, in particular to withdraw, it is better to check the date. If money is to be put in, it must be done ideally on the 15th and 30th. Regarding withdrawals it is best to do them on the 1st or 16th of the month.
