Emirates News Agency – On the occasion of Emirati Women’s Day, graduates of the Emirates Experts Program confirm their quest to participate in building the nation’s future

ABU DHABI, 27th August / WAM / The Emirates Experts Program, which represents a platform for preparing specialized national cadres, sheds light on a group of graduates of the program who contribute to building the future of the country, while preparing to celebrate the occasion of Emirati Women’s Day.

The last two editions of the Emirates Experts Program witnessed the participation of 46 Emiratis from various fields.. The third edition of the program will be launched next November, and the new group of participants in this edition will be announced during the month of October.

The launch of the UAE Experts Program was directed by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him”, and aims to develop the expertise of national cadres and enhance their skills and competencies to have a leading and effective role in developing various sectors in line with the strategic priorities in the UAE United Arab Emirates.

On the occasion of the country’s celebration of Emirati Women’s Day, which falls on August 28, we present a glimpse of five women who graduated from the program and are now contributing to leading roles in achieving the development witnessed by the sectors in which they work.

Kulthum Ali, UAE Experts Program 2.0 Director of Education – Middle East, Apple .. Education Sector: Kulthum participated in the second batch of the Emirates Experts Program, and she has extensive experience in the public and private education sectors. Prior to joining Apple Middle East in 2022, she held the position of Head of Strategic Partnerships at GEMS Schools, and also worked at the Knowledge and Human Development Authority in Dubai and held various positions over ten years, including Executive Director of Education Development for all schools in the private education sector in Dubai .

Kalthoum sees the future as re-engineering the personal education journey in a lifelong, uninterrupted continuum, where everyone acquires valuable and irreplaceable skills.

Kalthoum works on initiatives to help education workers and stakeholders enable teaching and learning through technology, as well as emphasizing the importance of advancement in all types of learning, including academic, non-academic and soft skills.

Fatima Al Shamsi .. UAE Expert Program 2.0 Head of Space Policies and Legislation Department at the Emirates Space Agency .. Space Sector: After the United Arab Emirates became the first Arab country to reach Mars, and with the announcement of the first regional interplanetary mission to explore the asteroid belt – Fatima is keen to help stimulate national expertise in the field of space sciences in order to reach wider horizons.

As Fatima is a graduate of the second batch of the UAE Experts Program and now works in the UAE Space Agency, where she heads the Space Policies and Legislation Department and works with United Nations committees to promote international space policy, and conduct discussions to determine global needs related to space challenges, legal frameworks and resources.

Meera Al Muhairi UAE Expert Program 2.0 Senior Inspection Engineer at the Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation .. Sector Policy Development: Meera also graduated from the second batch of the UAE Expert Program, and made history as the first Emirati woman to work as a nuclear safety inspector in 2015. At the Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation.

Mira led several strategic projects that established the UAE’s position in the nuclear field, and contributed to providing frameworks in line with the UAE’s nuclear energy policy.. She worked on developing a policy framework to help identify gaps in work systems and provide solutions to address problems.

During her career, Meera was a member of the Emirates Youth Council from 2016 to 2018 and is currently a board member of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, a position she has held since 2020.

Maysa Faisal Al Qasimi, UAE Experts Program 2.0, Acting Director of the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi Project at the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi..

The Culture Sector: Maysa Al Qasimi comes from a family that values ​​arts and culture, and has developed her experience and knowledge in this field by working for more than 15 years.. Thanks to her passion for museums from an early age, Maysa was nominated to join the second batch of the Emirates Experts Program, Now she is cultivating this passion in the next generation of Emiratis by taking on the role of Acting Director of the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi Project, which will be completed in 2025.

Maryam Al Muraikhi, Fellow of the Emirates Experts 1.0 Program, Co-Founder and CEO of Astro Cloud Studio.. Media and Creative Industries: Maryam is a participant and fellow in the first batch of the Emirates Experts Program, and she is a powerful storyteller and interviewer with extensive experience in the media sector. Maryam worked for a number of leading organizations, including the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center and ExCeL London Exhibition and Conference Center before co-founding AstroCloud Studios to support the creative industries in the UAE and the region.
