Square Enix has reduced the price of Marvel’s Avengers to $2 in an attempt to get rid of the remaining copies of the game. This is the lowest price for a major AAA game.

Square Enix has sold its Western division to the Embracer group, which includes Eidos, Crystal Dynamics and others. They considered Marvel’s Avengers a failure both critically and commercially, and although the game continued to receive support following launch, this eventually led to the company selling its Western division following a string of failures that also included Guardians of the Galaxy.

Now, when the purchase is completed and Embracer Group got their hands on Eidos and Crystal Dynamics, the official Square Enix Store is selling all editions of Marvel’s Avengers at a huge discount. The lowest price is for the Standard Edition, which costs around $2 for PS4 and Xbox One and $6 for PC.

The Endgame Edition sells for $4 on PS4 and Xbox One and $6 on PC. The PC version is sold for Steam, so it’s not a bad deal. In this edition, you will receive several bonus materials from a variety of costumes for heroes.

If you’re still interested in purchasing the Earth’s Mightiest Edition of Marvel’s Avengers, it’s also heavily discounted. It originally cost $149.99, but now you can get it for $14.99. This edition comes with the following content.

  • Marvel’s Avengers: Deluxe Edition
  • Exclusive Steelbook
  • Black Widow’s Belt Buckle
  • Blueprints for Iron Man’s armor prototype
  • Keychain Mjolnir
  • 6 inch Hulk head
  • Honorary Avenger Badge
  • 5×7 group photo for Avengers Day

This may be a limited offer, or until stocks run out, so take the game if you want and you have such an opportunity. True, while this post was being written, the Endgame edition for Steam was already sold out, but the standard edition is still on sale.
