The last heat of summer for this weekend

For lovers of hot and humid weather, the coming weekend will be the last to enjoy it before a taste of fall.

In Montreal, Sunday will be ideal for activities, with a maximum of 28°C and a feeling of 33. Saturday still has some uncertainty, with a maximum of 24°C and 30% of chance of morning precipitation expected to clear by mid-followingnoon.

On the Quebec side, no precipitation in sight for the weekend, but the scenario remains similar, Sunday is still the most ideal day for outdoor activities. A maximum of 25°C is expected there, with a feeling of 29.

As of Wednesday, the mercury will, in several sectors of the province, drop sharply by at least 5 degrees, bringing trends back to seasonal normals. The only exception to the picture, Bas-Saint-Laurent and Gaspésie maintained their temperatures during the week. Environment Canada even reports a maximum of 30°C in Gaspé, a significant anomaly during this time of year when temperatures are more around 20°C.
