Despite the publication in the media of photographs depicting new Moskvich cars, it is not yet known what these models will be like. The reason is that KAMAZ refuted information regarding plans for resurfacing JAC machines. That is, the new “Muscovites” at least will not be copied from Chinese models, but will receive unique bodies.
In this regard, there is a proposal that the cars of the revived brand will fill the empty segments of the Russian market. At least this is what the domestic designer thinks, who announced the publication of new renders with the image of the next Moskvich. But on the first teasers, a car that is not quite standard for the Russian market is revealed. These renders show the 2022-2023 Moskvich AZLK station wagon, or a model that will be in limited demand.
However, it cannot be ruled out that the Moscow Automobile Plant will actually produce a similar car. Due to the departure of many companies, as well as due to the suspension of production, the Russian market has practically lost station wagons. Therefore, Moskvich, creating such a car, will be able to get a product that, in fact, has no competitors. This is very important for a company that needs not only to restore production in a short time, but also to return the initial investment.
At the same time, the station wagon presented will be aimed at drivers who prefer long journeys. That is, he will probably get a powerful but economical turbo engine. Along with this, the new station wagon will be equipped with modern equipment, which is likely to be borrowed from JAC. But so far, information regarding the technical part and the list of available equipment has not been received.
