Wiseman, 66, was jailed last month following confessing in court to sex crimes committed between April 2020 and April 2021.
At the time, the influential producer had taken advantage of a stay in Charlevoix to touch the buttocks of the child whose identity is protected by the court. A few months later, this time in Montreal, he used a massager on the girl’s stomach, back and buttocks. In a third event, he kissed the complainant’s breasts in addition to touching her genitals.
“I didn’t understand why he was touching me in my private parts,” the girl wrote in a letter presented to the court.
Guilty
Rather than go to trial, the one who notably produced the popular series The little life and the broadcast Everybody talks regarding it finally pleaded guilty to sexually touching a minor. In exchange, the counts of sexual assault, assault and possession and production of child pornography were dropped.
“I would like to express how much I regret the actions committed, which were not appropriate. I hope that [la jeune victime] will get all the tools and support necessary to get through this ordeal,” Wiseman said following his guilty plea.
The parties suggested a sentence of two years less a day in jail, followed by three years probation. Judge Pierre Labelle will announce this followingnoon, at the Montreal courthouse, whether he accepts this recommendation.
