Dr. Hossam Mowafi, Professor of Critical Cases at Kasr Al-Ainy College of Medicine, recommended drinking tea in moderate amounts, because excessive tea has negative effects on the health of the body.

Muwafi said during his program “My Lord, give me knowledge”, which is broadcast on Sada Al-Balad channel, that drinking a lot of tea may increase the risk of developing anemia.

The professor of critical care medicine added that tea causes anemia, because it contains compounds that reduce the body’s absorption of iron, which helps produce red blood cells, which are responsible for sending oxygen to all tissues and cells.
