Casemiro hopes the “Don” stays in “United”

Newcomer Casemiro is hoping his colleague Cristiano Ronaldo will remain at the English Premier League club, amid much speculation over the future of the 37-year-old striker.
It is reported that Ronaldo, who moved to United from Juventus last season, wants to leave Old Trafford, following the team failed to qualify for the Champions League this season.
The Portuguese striker missed the starting line-up during Monday’s 2-1 Premier League win over Liverpool, although coach Eric ten Hag said he was still in his plans for this season.
“He knows I respect him a lot,” Casemiro told ESPN regarding Ronaldo, who was also his Real Madrid teammate. He gives you a lot of goals, he loves to win and he has the qualities of a leader, he is very important to us.
He added: “We got close to each other because of the language as well. From the first day here he helped me with everything. He helps me a lot. I really hope he stays with us.”
Brazilian midfielder Casemiro, who joined United from Real Madrid in a deal reportedly worth 70 million euros ($69.80 million), is likely to make his first game for the club once morest Southampton in the Premier League today. United are 14th in the Premier League. League with three points following three games.
