Olivia Wilde thinks having custody papers delivered to her while promoting her new movie was a ‘vicious’ move.

The 38-year-old actress was promoting her new psychological thriller, “Don’t Worry Darling,” at CinemaCon in Las Vegas in April when she received custody papers from her former fiancé Jason Sudeikis.

The Hollywood star is mother to Otis, eight, and Daisy, five, whom she had with actor Jason Sudeikis. She shared, “It was my workplace. In any other workplace, this act would have been considered an attack. It really upset me. It shouldn’t have happened.”

“There was a huge security breach, which is really scary. The hurdles you have to go through to get into this room with multiple badges, plus the special COVID tests that had to be taken days in advance , which gave you wristbands needed to get into the event – that was something that required forethought.”

Olivia, who directed ‘Don’t Worry Darling’ starring the likes of Harry Styles, Florence Pugh and Chris Pine, says she’s angry the incident managed to overshadow promotion for her new movie.

The actress-turned-director – who got engaged to Jason in 2013 – told Variety: “I hated that this naughtiness took away from the work of so many different people and the studio I was representing on stage.”

“Trying to sabotage this was really vicious. But I had a job to do; I don’t get distracted easily.”

“But, you know, unfortunately, it’s not surprising. I mean, there’s a reason I left that relationship.”

Meanwhile, Jason has previously denied having any knowledge of where and when his ex-partner had the custody papers delivered.

A spokesperson said: “Mr. Sudeikis had no prior knowledge of when or where the envelope would have been delivered, as that would depend solely on the fulfillment service company involved and he would not tolerate never has it been signified in such an inappropriate way.”
