Edwin Jackson is back in France and Nanterre. He replaces Bastien Pinault for the start of the season, he who is stopped for six to eight weeks.

Free to sign wherever he wishes following his departure from Estudiantes Madrid, Edwin Jackson (1.90 m, 32 years old) joined Nanterre this Thursday. The French international replaces Bastien Pinault there for the start of the 2022-2023 season, the latter being arrested for six to eight weeks.

It is in this same club that Edwin Jackson lived his first full professional season in 2008-2009, in Pro B (13 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.9 assists for 10.6 evaluation). The French full-back has been hungry for playing time since his hasty departure from ASVEL during the 2019-2020 season. At Estudiantes Madrid, he was not spared physical problems. After the interruption of the 2019-2020 season due to COVID-19, he suffered a wrist fracture at the start of the 2020-2021 season, followed by a relapse on his return to competition. Embarrassed to shoot, he was then stopped by a muscle injury during last season. With a total of 15 games played in LEB Oro 2021-2022, he was shooting at 8.6 points with 44.1% shooting success (including 31.3% from 3-pointers), 2.5 rebounds and 2.2 assists.

After getting back on his feet at home in Andalusia, the native of Pau wants to prove to himself that he can once once more perform at a high level. And this first of all by basing oneself on the device of Pascal Donnadieu in Nanterre on the preparation.

“I am delighted to return to a club that helped me a lot in my debut and today I hope to be able to return the favor by making up for the absence of Bastien (Pinault) during his recovery. I want to help the team start the year well and be the most competitive,” said Edwin Jackson.
