In the 2-3 win once morest Bremen, Borussia Dortmund gave up a victory they thought was safe in the last few minutes. Anthony Modeste also owed a lot once morest Werder. Sports director Sebastian Kehl now called for patience.

Sebastian Kehl was not asked regarding Anthony Modeste, but when Edin Terzic had finished his remarks on his new striker at the press conference on Thursday followingnoon, Dortmund’s sporting director immediately spoke up. It was now important to him to put things right.
“There has been a lot of discussion regarding Tony in the last few days,” said Kehl – now he wants to take the opportunity to “re-classify” Modeste’s first BVB weeks. He is aware, says Kehl, that an attacker is always judged by goals – but to label the 33-year-old as a bad buy following only two games, “I don’t think that’s okay”. After all, Modeste has only been “at Borussia Dortmund for two weeks,” said Kehl. And: “It’s a change for him.”
As a team, we are challenged to do things better.
In the 3-1 win in Freiburg, Modeste was just as little able to draw attention to himself as in the recent 2-3 win once morest Bremen. In both games, Dortmund’s game largely passed the former Cologne player, but Terzic emphasized on Thursday: “Not only Tony had few actions. We expected more from all offensive players.”
In fact, the entire Dortmund team owed a lot in the 90 minutes once morest Werder and only had six shots on goal. A number that documents how difficult BVB was on the offensive. Looking ahead to Saturday’s game at Hertha BSC, Terzic said: “As a team, we need to do things better.”
If that succeeds, Modeste should also come to more actions in the Berlin Olympic Stadium than last.
