Emirates News Agency – “Dubai Film Production” receives the participation of Emirati talents in the “Ticket to Bollywood” initiative

DUBAI, 25th August, 2020 (WAM) — The Dubai Film and Television Production Committee has announced that Emirati screenwriters and creators from all over the country, aged 18 and over, will continue to receive entries in the “Ticket to Bollywood” initiative until 4 September.

The initiative comes to culminate in the success achieved by many partnerships and projects in the fields of films and content industry between entities in the UAE and the Republic of India.

Saeed Al Janahi, Executive Director of Operations at the Dubai Film and TV Production Committee, said: “Thanks to the vision of the wise leadership, the Emirate of Dubai has continued to achieve more achievements that have consolidated the emirate’s position as a global center for tourism, business, media and the content industry. By introducing Emirati talents and the capabilities that the emirate possesses, and promoting work with the most prominent and important filmmakers in the world.”

A specialized committee reviews and evaluates the entries with the opportunity to implement the selected scenarios in international Bollywood studios, following registering through the Dubai Film and TV Committee website.

The Dubai Film and TV Committee was launched in 2012 with the aim of supporting film and television productions in Dubai and enhancing the emirate’s position as a preferred destination for local, regional and international film production.

The committee seeks to facilitate doing business through an integrated set of services, including digital solutions, that enable production companies and independent talent to obtain filming permits throughout the emirate with ease.

Dubai has been able to achieve a prominent position globally in the fields of cinema, film and content industry, and the specialized infrastructure has established the position of the emirate, including Dubai Studio City, which includes the largest soundproof studios in the Middle East and North Africa, in addition to various studios spread in 18 buildings and 7 facilities specialized in the content industry. .
