Many Facebook users were angry following they were surprised that the “edit button” for posts on the platform had disappeared for no apparent reason.

Users shared screenshots on the Twitter platform to express their displeasure and confusion.

And an account called “Sherry Lowry”, one of the pioneers of the social network, asked in a tweet, “Why does the edit button no longer exist? .. I can no longer edit posts or add more photos to them. Why should we start a new post.. Facebook, fix the edit button!”

Another account called “Jeff Pedro” also shared a screenshot of the “missing” feature and said, “Did I miss something? My Facebook edit button is gone.”

A third user reported the bug, saying, “What amazes me the most is that Twitter is currently working on giving us the edit button for free, while Facebook is taking it from us.”

A number of users of the social network owned by the company “Meta” called for a “logical explanation” and the reason for the disappearance of the vital and important function of many of them on the platform, and some demanded that it be fixed in the event of a technical defect.

Facebook has not yet responded to users’ calls.

Meanwhile, a number of other users claimed that the platform disabled the feature “on purpose”, which is the first time that the social network has taken such a step by canceling a vital feature without notifying it in advance.

Some users also reported that the mod feature was lost on Apple devices following installing the latest version.

Specialized reports stated that “Facebook” appears to be facing an unhappy week at all, as a number of users revealed, on Wednesday, the existence of a loophole in the application that many exploited for free promotion and marketing.

Users of the application stated that the loophole allows anyone to post on the pages of celebrities, without restrictions or obstacles, which makes their pages a free bulletin board, as described by some.
