They also found that the concentration of vitamin D in the blood of pregnant women and the concentration of vitamin D in the umbilical cord of the fetus were almost identical.

The research team said, “It has been confirmed that taking vitamin D during pregnancy helps reduce pregnancy complications and helps in the formation and growth of the fetus’ skeleton. It is expected to have an impact.”

Manager Lee said, “Last year, the domestic fertility rate recorded an all-time low of 0.81, and the infertility rate is also increasing as the marriage age increases. It will help.”

Director Lee plans to conduct a study to evaluate the infertility and risk factors of Seoul citizens in the future.
