After the response, Washington rejects all additional Iranian conditions

Al-Arabiya/Al-Hadath correspondent reported that Washington rejected all the additional conditions that it had called for Tehran In its response to the European proposal.

He added that the United States stressed that Iran’s enrichment of uranium should not exceed 4%.

He also continued that it had requested the lifting of any Iranian restrictions on international inspectors.

Response to the European proposal

This came following the Iranian Foreign Ministry announced that it had received the American response to its comments on the nuclear deal, which it had made in response to the European proposal.

Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani said in a statement on Wednesday that Tehran received this evening, through the European coordinator, the US government’s response to its response regarding the agreement.

He also indicated that his country is studying the American response to inform the European coordinator of the result following completing its review.

A new agreement or a round of negotiations?

It is noteworthy that earlier this month (August 2022) the European Union presented what it called the “final” text of the expected new agreement to Tehran, which in turn responded to it with observations.

The union said Tehran had requested some amendments to the proposal, which was not disclosed, and which came following 16 months of intermittent and indirect talks with Washington.

Currently, the remaining parties to the agreement that Washington withdrew from in 2015, (France, Germany, Britain, China and Russia), are waiting for the Iranian response to the American response, in order to conclude long months of talks, and announce a new nuclear agreement or perhaps another round of negotiations. .
