Brazilian Casemiro wasn’t the first player to move from Real Madrid to Manchester United recently; He was preceded by the French Raphael Varane, who decided to move to the “Red Devils” last summer.
The French international expressed his happiness to play once more with his former teammate, and explained the reasons for Casemiro’s decision to leave the royal and go to Old Trafford.
Varane said – in a press interview – that Casemiro “is very enthusiastic .. He is a player of high quality, and he can achieve balance in the team.”
“He is a warrior, so I think he will really enjoy English football… I think it was a perfect night for him to meet Old Trafford, because the atmosphere was so great, and the team won an important victory, so it was great.”
He continued, “He doesn’t need my help to make his decision. I know exactly how he feels and why he came here following what he lived in Madrid.. He needs a new challenge. I know exactly why he chose this club.”
“I talk to him a lot, but he didn’t need me to make his decision,” he concluded.
Casemiro, 30, had confirmed that he did not move to the “Red Devils” for money, following a deal estimated at 70 million euros, and added, “Whoever thinks that I went for money does not know me, I think they are few and do not know me, not for money, They are wrong.”
Casemiro has a wealth of experience, having won the Champions League 5 times, and the Spanish League 3 times, in addition to being one of the pillars of the Brazil national team over recent years.
