While waiting for a release now scheduled for 2023, immediately in the Game Pass, the Souls-like Lies of P is taking advantage of gamescom to illustrate its gameplay and the gothic atmosphere of its game universe.
In May last year, the group NEOWIZ and its development studio Round8 announced Lies Of P. We then discovered a Souls-like (very) freely inspired by the history of Pinocchio by Carlo Collodi: in a dark and gothic version of the Belle Epoquethe player embodies Pinocchio, an news who aspires to become human… and will gain his humanity by not trusting anyone and by lying.

English term difficult to translate designating both the set of rules governing the game and the pleasure of the game. An MMOG with innovative gameplay will offer a unique gaming experience to the player. Similarly, a game claiming “good gameplay” will be fun and engaging.
“>gameplayLies of P is betting on action: the game world is invaded by hostile automatons and dishonest scamps that will have to be faced, in particular by unlocking many mechanical weapons – we remember that initially, the developer intended confront the player with moral choices, sometimes to develop the “mechanical” dimension of his character and access more weapons, or on the contrary sometimes his “human” dimension allowing him to learn specific skills.
This approach now seems to have been abandoned, but the player will still have to fight major battles once morest powerful opponents thanks to a varied arsenal.
The Neowiz studio also benefits from the gamescom 2022 to reveal more concretely the gameplay of Lies of P and the atmosphere of the city of Krat where the game takes place. Visitors to the German show will be able to test the first playable demo of the title (two playable levels, approximately two hours of gameplay) . The others will have to be a little more patient: the release of Lies of P is planned for sometime next year, on PC (via Steam), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. Upon release, the game will be immediately available in the Game Pass of Microsoft.
