Game News Quantic Dream unveils a new video game at gamescom, Under The Waves

Developed by Parallel Studio and published by Quantic Dream, Under the Waves was unveiled during gamescom’s Opening Night LIVE. Unlike Sea of Solitude, the previous title published by the company headed by David Cage, the adventure will not take place on the waters but on the seabed.

Under the Waves is a narrative adventure game that, like a certain Sea of Solitude, isn’t going to be regarding very happy things. In the revisited 1970s and in the depths of the North Sea, a professional diver named Stan struggles to overcome a life-changing loss. Her dearest wish? Getting the head out of the water, no pun intended. Quantic Dream states that the watery depths vary as Stan sinks deeper into his self-imposed solitude. Little by little, strange events occur under the waters and choices will have to be made.
For this project, the developer Parallel Studio and the publisher Quantic Dream have partnered with Surfrider Foundation Europe to support the preservation of the oceans. We can only hope that this enigmatic production does not take on water!
