The police put a highlighter pen on the door lock of the office door and press the password.

It is invisible to the naked eye, but traces are revealed when a special light shines on it.

In this way, in Daejeon and Cheonan, Chungcheongnam-do, the police caught the police in their 40s who stole money by unlocking the apartment door code.

In the case of an apartment in Daejeon, I tried to find out the password by going around 30 households from the 1st floor to the 15th floor.

“When a number key is pressed, the fingerprint generated when the key is pressed, generated fingerprints or erased ones are illuminated with blue light to extract some numbers and combine the numbers…”

Apartments without CCTV and relatively wealthy were targeted.

The man rang a doorbell to check for an vacant house, and even dressed as a security guard to avoid suspicion.

The amount of damage confirmed is regarding 40 million won, but there is a possibility that he committed additional crimes because several apartments in Seoul, Cheonan, and Asan were written in the man’s notebook.

However, the court sentenced the man to a suspended sentence of imprisonment, saying, “Considering that the man showed a remorseful attitude and had no previous criminal history,” he said.

The police advise that prevention is the most important thing, such as swiping down the door lock with the palm of your hand to avoid leaving fingerprints, and changing the password on the door frequently.
