In Chad, despite the refusal of some parents, the campaign is on the right track. Unicef and the Ministry of Public Health from time to time train agents on the curative treatment of poliomyelitis. Prevention is the only solution.
Chad is a good student in the fight once morest poliomyelitis, said WHO Regional Director for Africa, Dr Matshidiso Moeti. “The number of children vaccinated since the resumption of polio campaigns is extremely encouraging,” she said.
