Voodoo Jürgens – “Des geht ma ned ei”

Nice news in a very dark world right now: the good one Voodoo Jürgens, his character story printer, ballad singer and songwriter, has released a new song. And yes, he announces a new album. On December 2nd of this year, “Wie die Nocht noch jung wor” will be released and the first foretaste sounds – perhaps a bit untypical for the Wienerlied gravedigger – following Lambada.

Whether the good Voodoo together with producer Herwig Zamernik alias Fuzzman and musician David Schweighart really put the Brazilian couple dance on the studio floor remains a secret. But there at least the musical theme of the song was played with until the rhythmic bass line contributed that danceable groove. But don’t worry, the Voodoo Jürgens-typical dark everyday story is still told over trumpets and glittering guitars. This time from a guy who can’t accept a “no” from his counterpart.

Kinetical & P.tah – „Down“

You are a great team, the Viennese rapper P and the Linz rapper Kinetical. Together they have been producing tracks that not only have good flows, but also depth. Inspired by UK grime, they always mix it with German and English lyrics on point and often gloomy. The new EP “ACTUATE” will be released on October 7th via Duzz Down San Records.

The first single “Down” receives the melodic and at the same time dark beats of Kenny Katana. Even if the track is very reduced, it has a dense atmosphere. In terms of content, the two rappers are concerned with keeping the “inner circle” small. The people you really open up to, even if you sometimes down is, you should choose carefully. It is therefore also regarding trust and solidarity. In addition, the two address the cross-generational cellphone dependency and plead for protection once morest digital consumption.

Greyshadow – „Alive“

The musician and songwriter Gregor Wessely alias Greyshadow it has always been regarding escaping loneliness and alienation. Music is probably his first choice. Funky guitars and beautiful beats make you feel really alive. “Alive”, the new single, lets us immerse ourselves in the summer feeling of lightness. Movement and change are also part of feeling alive. Even if the internal resistance is high. Dreaming is not only allowed here, but even encouraged. In this way you can perhaps also get the strength for upcoming changes. In any case, “Alive” fits perfectly into such a playlist.

Philiam Shakebeat x Osive – “Hawis im Hervis”

It all sounds a bit lo-fi here. And then once more not. They love to play with phrases, musical genres and clichés, creating their very own style. Philiam Shakesbeat and producer Osive pair their laid-back attitude with political messages. Because happiness can also be possible without pressure to perform and capital. Not only the Zen Buddhists know that, but also the fresh hip hoppers. So not in Paris, but in Vienna without champagne with the “Hawis im Hervis”. quite normal celebrated in the evening. I think that’s really “okay, cool”…
