A few days before the Ukrainian National Day, President Zelensky fears attacks from the Russian army.
A scenario that might happen according to a former military intelligence officer.
“They moved a lot of troops in the last week. 430 planes, 300 helicopters and six armies that disappeared from my radar. Are they in the Kursk region? They might be in the process of repositioning themselves to make an axis of advance as at the beginning of the war. These indicators raise fears that there is a resumption of the offensive, ”says Simon Leduc to TVA Nouvelles.
A change of attitude on the part of the Russians is possible because of their balance of power which is up to six times greater.
“It was not a war of movement, it was a war of attrition and in a war of attrition there is no movement. The Russians weren’t gaining territory, that wasn’t the goal. The goal was to make the maximum loss to the Ukrainian army. Their recipe was simple, they took Ukrainians from the Luhansk and Donetsk region and used them as infantry who fell in contact and then used their guns,” he said.
