Renowned journalist Thomas Makaya, of Congolese origin (Brazzaville), died Friday in Abidjan, in the Ivorian economic capital. In a note of tribute, the Union of Journalists of the Free African Press (UJPLA) led by the ‘Ivorian Noël Yao, testifies that he was “an audiovisual legend”, presenting his condolences to the great family of the press in Côte d’Ivoire, in Congo (Brazaville) and in Africa. This audiovisual enthusiast arrived in Côte d’Ivoire in the 1980s, where he joined the national radio.
