‘For 32 years, no one in the Gandhi family even became a minister; Why is Modi afraid?’ – Ashok Gehlot

New Delhi ∙ Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot asked why Prime Minister Narendra Modi is so afraid of the Gandhi family when no one from the Gandhi family has become a Prime Minister, Union Minister or Chief Minister in the last 32 years. Gehlot’s question comes in the context of the Prime Minister’s continuous criticism of the nepotism within the Congress. Gehlot also asked why everyone always attacks the Congress.

“Look, in the last 32 years, not a single person from the Gandhi family has become a Prime Minister, a Union Minister or a Chief Minister. Why is Prime Minister Narendra Modi afraid of the Gandhi family? Why does Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal say that nothing special has happened in the country in the last 75 years? Why is everyone attacking the Congress en masse’ – asked Gehlot.

“There is only one reason for all this. The DNA of India and Congress is the same before and following independence. “Congress is a party that can accommodate all religions and sects equally,” Gehlot pointed out.

Gehlot pointed out that today Narendra Modi is the Prime Minister of India and Arvind Kejriwal is the Chief Minister of Delhi because the Congress has protected democracy for the last 75 years. “Congress has protected democracy in this country for the last 75 years. “That is the main contribution and gift of Congress to India,” said Gehlot.

“The Congress will win the next assembly elections and the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Things will not be easy for Prime Minister Narendra Modi this time. Nitish Kumar has dealt a heavy blow to Modi and BJP in Bihar. The protests led by Congress led by Rahul Gandhi, pointing to rising prices and unemployment, have also shaken the foundations of the Center and Modi,” said Gehlot.

As the new Congress President is to be elected on September 20, Gehlot asked that Rahul Gandhi should understand the interest of the party workers and be ready to take over the post of President. “If Rahul refuses to take the post of party president, it is sure to be a huge disappointment to the Congress workers in the country. Many people will stay at home. It will be the party’s loss. So Rahul himself should take the post of president of his own accord” – asked Gehlot.
