BLACKPINK achieved another new record.
YG Entertainment said, “Blackpink’s 2nd full album pre-release song ‘Pink Venom’ music video broke the world record for female artists in the number of views in 24 hours on YouTube.”
According to the official count announced by YouTube on the 22nd (US time), Blackpink’s ‘Pink Venom’ music video was released on the 19th and recorded regarding 90.4 million views in one day.
This is an achievement that surpassed Black Pink’s existing hit song ‘How You Like That’ music video (86.3 million) and ranks third among male and female artists worldwide.
At the time of the release of the ‘Pink Venom’ music video, the total number of concurrent users (YouTube Premiere) was confirmed to be 2,59,4962. This is also the highest record for a K-pop girl group.
The music video for ‘Pink Venom’, which had previously achieved 100 million views with the fastest speed (29 hours and 35 minutes) among K-pop girl groups, has maintained its position as the most viewed video on YouTube for the fourth day.
The music has so far swept the top of iTunes song charts in 74 countries, including the US and UK, and topped the Spotify Top Songs global chart, the world’s largest music streaming platform, for 3 days in a row. No K-pop has ever topped the Spotify Top Songs Global Chart in a row.
Blackpink’s full-fledged stage activities haven’t even started yet. When the title song of BLACKPINK’s 2nd full-length album is released on September 16, attention is focused on what new records will be created.
