With the 1815 Rattrapante, the watchmakers at Lange wanted to demonstrate, once once more, their
expertise in measuring short times.
Its complex mechanism enhances the functionality of a classic chronograph by allowing the wearer to measure as many intervals as desired, all in one minute! To achieve this, the watch has two superimposed hands that can be stopped: the central stopwatch hand and the central split-seconds hand.
Both start at the same time when the user presses the pusher at 2 o’clock. The rattrapante
can then be stopped independently of the central chronometer hand, then synchronized with it once more. Ideal for timing laps or competitions, for example, this process can be repeated as many times as necessary.
