After being appointed as the new consul general of the Dominican Republic in Boston, Massachusetts, by President Luis Abinader, the diplomat Enrique García officially took office this weekend.
The act of transfer of command was attended by his predecessor, Ramón Antonio Cruz who, accompanied by a delegation of vice-consuls and office managers, wished García success in his new administration.
The newly appointed consul assured during the ceremony that the doors of the Consulate they will always be open for their compatriots.
Likewise, he highlighted the contributions made by the Dominican Community from the American city to the economy of his country, promising that the citizens who make up the diaspora in that American city they will be able to acquire consular services with “efficiency and promptness”.
According to the press release issued by the diplomatic institution, the act was held in the main office of the Consulate in Boston, in a “fellowship” atmosphere.
