Hamann spoke regarding his view of the deal in statements to the British newspaper, “Mirror”, and said: “Casimiro is a great player, you have to look at what he won at Real Madrid, but he will not go to Manchester United to win the English Premier League.”
He continued, “We are only following the first two rounds of the season, but it is clear that Manchester United will not be a contender for the English Premier League title. They are years behind Liverpool and Manchester City, and they also lose their place to Chelsea, Tottenham and Arsenal.”
He added, “He will need Manchester United For years and years to be a contender for the Premier League title once more.”
He continued: “The Casemiro deal is a step forward, but a small one. It is not the solution. The management must support Eric Ten Hag in the transfer market over the coming years.”
And he concluded: “There have been clear problems in Manchester United for years since Sir Alex Ferguson retired. Look at the number of coaches who have been sacked in the last period.”
