Miss India, Urvashi Rautella, sparked widespread controversy with her statements, regarding receiving an offer to marry an Egyptian singer, who is likely to be Muhammad Ramadan.

“Yes, once from an Egyptian singer,” Urvashi Rautella said in an interview when the announcer asked her if she had received an embarrassing marriage proposal.

She continued, “I love the feeling when the whole family comes together. I don’t like this broken family thing. In my family no one has divorced yet, I don’t think I saw divorce from where I came from. In fact I don’t even know what a divorce is like, it was only when I came to Mumbai… that I realized that divorce here is very common.”
