The leader of the MR group in the Brussels parliament, Alexia Bertrand, clearly declared on Saturday, in an interview published by the newspaper La Libre Belgiquecandidate Minister-President of the Region following the 2024 elections.
“Yes, of course, I am a candidate for the Brussels Minister-Presidency in 2024. I want to be in the place where I will have the most impact. I am versatile, I am quadrilingual, I know federal matters, but I also have a real interest in Brussels matters. And I demonstrated the political impact that I can have“, she asserted.
“The Minister-Presidency is clearly one of the functions that interest me. We need strong ambitions: well-being, climate challenge, purchasing power?“, added the Brussels Liberal MP.
Asked regarding the need to gather a majority in order to form a regional government, Alexia Bertrand assures “talk to everyone“.
“We have established a dialectic respectful of the other formations. It is fundamental. No one is ever right on their own, you have to rely on collective intelligence“, indicated the leader of the MR in the Brussels parliament.
