Tuchel reveals that there are negotiations to extend his contract with Chelsea

German coach Thomas Tuchel has revealed that there are negotiations to renew his contract with Chelsea Football Club.

Before his team’s match once morest Leeds United in the English Premier League on Sunday, Tuchel, 48, said: “There are talks,” but he indicated that these talks are still in the beginning stage.

It should be noted that Tuchel’s contract with the London club runs until the end of June 2024.

“But I think that given the situation we’re out of and what we’re just going through, in the middle of the transfer window, the best thing is to focus on my team and be competitive,” Tuchel added.

Tuchel can attend his team’s match with Leeds, despite the penalty that was imposed on him following the sharp verbal abuse with Tottenham coach Antonio Conte, because the FA’s penalty for stopping a match was suspended on Friday until the required comments from the two coaches arrive and these comments are analyzed.

Chelsea can appeal the sentence.

It is noteworthy that the penalty also included a fine of 35,000 pounds for Tuchel and a fine of 15,000 pounds for Conte.

Regarding this penalty, Tuchel said: “I hope this is my last red card of the season, I crossed the limit that I might not cross as a coach.”

Tuchel had coached Chelsea since 2021 and won the Champions League with him in his first year.

Chelsea began the current season with a defeat once morest Everton and a positive draw once morest Tottenham, following the difficult previous season that the club went through due to sanctions once morest the former owner, Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich.
