A Russian military vehicle was spotted at the Zaporiza nuclear power plant in Ukraine and the two countries discussed the possibility of a nuclear attack, raising concerns that the worst nuclear accident, Chernobyl, might recur.
Russia has agreed to inspect the nuclear power plant in the international community’s mediation efforts, but it is unclear whether it will be implemented properly.

This is a video presumed to be the Zaporiza nuclear power plant in Ukraine that was uploaded to social media.
Five military trucks are visible around the nuclear power plant, and the letter ‘Z’, a symbol of support for Russia, is clearly visible in front of the vehicle.
It is estimated that the vehicles were parked at a distance of regarding 130 meters from the reactor.
CNN said it was not clear when it was filmed, but said it was a credible video.
The Zaporiza nuclear power plant, which has been occupied by Russian forces since March, the beginning of the war, has been bombarded by large and small shells this month.
Ukraine criticizes Russia for storing ammunition and military equipment at the Zaporiza nuclear power plant, while Russia blames the military equipment for security purposes.
In particular, local time yesterday, both Ukraine and Russia both predicted that there would be an attack at the Zaporiza nuclear power plant, and tensions grew even greater.
The international community is busy with fears that the second Chernobyl disaster, which was the worst nuclear accident in the world, may be repeated.

“I am seriously concerned regarding what is going on in and around the largest nuclear power plant in Europe, Zaporiza. This facility should not be used as part of a military operation.”
In the midst of this, President Putin agreed to inspect the Zaporiza nuclear power plant in a phone call with French President Macron yesterday, local time.
The Russian side explained, “We are discussing the mission, method, route, scale, and period of the inspection team,” but “unless external factors arise, it is highly likely that the inspection will take place in early September.”
However, the two countries are running parallel lines with each other raising theories of responsibility over the security issue of the inspection team.
In the end, there are concerns that it will become a feast of empty words to build diplomatic justifications and secure initiatives in each country.
