Knife attack in front of pizzeria – man (32) dead!

Terrible pictures from downtown Neustadt am Rübenberge in the region of Hanover (Lower Saxony). A man was stabbed to death on the street on Friday evening!

According to initial findings, a man (21) attacked a 32-year-old with a knife around 5:55 p.m. on Wunstorfer Straße and stabbed him. The injured man then dragged himself to the nearby pizzeria and asked for help.

The door of the patrol car is smeared with blood. The traces may come from a police officer who provided first aid to the victim. A spokesman: “The background is still completely unclear.”

The attacker followed him into the store. Apparently, employees there managed to overpower the 21-year-old. A police patrol who happened to be driving by saw the argument and stopped.

The officers stormed into the pizzeria and arrested the knife man. Meanwhile, the 32-year-old left the store and collapsed in front of the store. A 44-year-old woman also suffered injuries and was taken to the hospital.

A police spokesman: “The background to the crime is still completely unclear. The suspect was taken into custody.”

According to BILD information, the perpetrator is said to be of African origin – the fatality is said to be a Yazidi Kurd.
