The father of the man surnamed Lin revealed in an interview with a Sanli News reporter that in June he received a notice from the governor that his 34-year-old son was a homeless man on the streets of Sihanoukville, Cambodia. Dying on the street, he was discovered by a local Taiwanese businessman on May 20 and rushed to the hospital for treatment. Lin’s father quickly asked the Taiwanese Business Association for help, and temporarily placed his son in a hotel in Phnom Penh through the pipeline, waiting for the passport to be taken back to Taiwan. He said that when he saw the photos sent back by the Taiwanese businessman, he mightn’t believe his eyes. The son, who was originally strong and fat, was deceived to Cambodia for three months, and was tortured to the point of being inhuman, thin and full of face. Beard and wrinkles, he looks like a 60-year-old man who has been through the vicissitudes of life.

Lin’s father said that his son went abroad to Cambodia on 3/28 and was suspected of being abused by cruel means.”When the bag was lost, he was already mentally ill, and it was useless for them (fraud group), so he threw it out as a homeless man. Fortunately, he was not sold to the KK Park. I think this is the luckiest place for my son.”, plus a chance encounter with a local kind-hearted Taiwanese businessman who rescued him and helped pay for medical expenses and air tickets, so that his son returned to Taiwan smoothly.
Recalling the situation of his son’s rescue, Lin’s father described it as really miserable. At that time, following his son received treatment from Sihanoukville Hospital, he was taken to a hotel in Phnom Penh by a Taiwanese businessman on June 24. He was very afraid of being arrested by the fraud group once more. It was not until he took a flight back to Taiwan that his mood stabilized a little. Father Lin took him around to seek medical treatment at the psychiatric department. As for what happened in Cambodia, Father Lin mightn’t bear to ask, “He probably knew he was wrong too.” Father Lin also revealed that, according to local Taiwanese businessmen, there are still more than 2,000 Taiwanese in Xigang.
