The Ukrainian president Volodímir Zelenski participates in a videoconference organized by the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile that is broadcast live by the Grupo de Diarios América, an alliance of newspapers in the region of which The National is partner.
It will be the first time that Zelensky, who came to power three years ago following a successful acting career and became a wartime leader overnight, has addressed such a wide audience in Latin America.
Zelenski will first speak regarding the situation in his country and then answer questions from a multidisciplinary panel, made up of academics, journalists and authorities, who will attend the conference with an audience at the Catholic University. The president will speak in Ukrainian and his remarks will be subtitled simultaneously.
This activity will take place this Wednesday, August 17 at 10:00 am, Venezuela time, and will be broadcast on the YouTube channel of the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile.
