macOS Ventura, iOS 16: Mail warns of the absence of an attachment in French

In iOS 16 and macOS Ventura, Mail will warn that an attachment is missing before sending the email, if of course the user wrote in the message body that they were going to send a document or file. This function is supposed to be limited to English speakers in a handful of countries but surprise, it appeared in French probably in the luggage of beta 6.

Under iOS 16 // Under macOS Ventura.

As seen above, the alert is very self-explanatory, stating that the user wrote ” Ci-joint… », but that there is not the document in question. It is still possible to send the message. We’ve done some testing and the notification only appears if Mail detects the words “attached” in the body text.

The application is also supposed to warn when the e-mail address of a recipient is not present when it is quoted in the message, but nothing to do we have drawn a blank even by multiplying the different attempts. Will this be enabled in an upcoming beta? Did these functions really have to be offered also in French so soon? Impossible to say at the moment.
