A video by CSU politician Christian Schmidt is making the rounds on social media. In it, the High Representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina yells at journalists in a press conference.
The High Representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina (OHR), Christian Schmidt, lost his composure at a press conference. A video of the former German agriculture minister appearing during a visit to the town of Gorazde in eastern Bosnia and Herzegovina caused a stir on social media on Wednesday.
The CSU politician reacted visibly upset to the question of a journalist from the news channel N1. “Trash, big trash!” Schmidt yells into the camera. “Guys, I’m not sitting or standing here … I’m interested in this country,” he continues, gesturing with his hands. One is not here to play political power games. He’s had enough of it, Schmidt then apparently wants to say. However, possibly due to his excitement, his English is difficult to understand.
Then Schmidt wants to tell the reporters how they should do their job: “Ask your questions! But please take it the way I decide and how I treat people.” In a furious tone, he adds, “Sorry to be so frank, but I’m… here (Schmidt nods to his forehead) with all the accusations that are dead wrong.”
