Microsoft to release Windows 11 22H2 update on September 20th

It is reported that Microsoft will release the first major update for its Windows 11 operating system (OS) next month.

According to information received by Windows Central Jack Bowden from sources, the ‘Windows 11 version 22H2’ update will be available to general users on September 20th.

“The release date is still subject to change, but Microsoft is currently targeting a September 20 release,” Bowden said.

The Windows 11 version 22H2 update includes several new improvements, such as the Apps folder in the Start menu, drag-and-drop on the taskbar, and new touch gestures and animations.

Meanwhile, Microsoft is also said to be releasing another update for the 22H2 before the end of this year, which will include a file explorer tab and a new digest action feature. Microsoft is currently testing these features in Windows Insider running build 22622.
