Alec Baldwin says everyone on the set of ‘Rust’ knows ‘exactly what happened’ before Halyna Hutchins died.

While on a shoot, the cinematographer was accidentally shot in Santa Fe, New Mexico in October 2021, and Baldwin – who denied pulling the trigger on the gun that killed Hutchins – suggested many people know the circumstances of this tragic incident.

During an appearance on ‘The Chris Cuomo Project’ podcast, Baldwin said, “I know everyone on the set of the movie knows what happened.”

An FBI investigation recently concluded that the shot might not have fired without pulling the trigger.

But the Hollywood actor insists only the people who were on set really know what happened.

He said: “The people who talk the loudest regarding what happened or speculate regarding what happened weren’t on set…they’re always talking regarding ‘what if’ this and ‘what if’ that.

“They all talked regarding it, and the thing they have in common is that no one was there. And everyone who was there knows exactly what happened.”

The FBI thinks it’s not possible the gun fired on its own, without anyone pulling the trigger.

The gun was believed to be loaded with dummy bullets, and Baldwin has previously denied pulling the trigger.

Investigators tested the gun in different ways to see if they might fire without pulling the trigger. But ultimately, they concluded that it just wasn’t possible.

Baldwin addressed the incident during a TV interview last year.

He said at the time, “The trigger wasn’t pulled. I didn’t pull the trigger. I would never have pointed a gun at someone pulling the trigger, ever.”
