News hardware PC: the most revolutionary gaming screen is finally out and the price will shock you

Made official last January by Samsung, the Odyssey Ark PC monitor is finally making its arrival on the market. This spectacular 55-inch curved screen is equipped with an innovative technology panel, which largely explains its particularly high price.
Have you always wanted to connect your PC to the big TV in your living room, but the logistics are complicated? If you have a few thousand extra euros in your bank account, you can turn to the Samsung Odyssey Ark. This curved computer screen measures 55 inches diagonaland for many days, it’s probably a dream monitor to have in a gaming corner.
A very high level Samsung gaming PC screen
Unveiled by Samsung during the CES in Las Vegas held in January 2022, the Odyssey Ark is a monitor equipped with Mini LED technology. The latter has been talked regarding for more than a year, but it remains uncommon, mainly due to production costs which remain high.
Mini LED technology is very similar to classic LED technology, which involves an LCD display. The major difference is, unsurprisingly, the size of the LEDs which are smaller and allow in particular to benefit from a more precise luminosity. The screen is also thinner.
The Samsung Odyssey Ark is therefore equipped with it, but it is not its only interest. We can also quote his definition of 3840 x 2160 pixels in 16:9 format which allows you to enjoy a 4K image. The processor Neural Quantum Ultra takes care of scaling all content to display in Ultra HD efficiently. The monitor also has six speakers : there is one in each corner, while two subwoofers take place in the middle. Total power is 60 Watts, with Dolby Atmos support.

In addition to being curved, this 55-inch screen can also be oriented horizontally or vertically. Flex Move Screen technology allows divide the screen display into four zones when positioned horizontally or into three zones vertically, which makes it possible to simulate as many independent monitors. Of course, you can also choose to display a single image on the screen.

The Samsung Odyssey Ark is available for pre-order in the US for $3499, a price excluding tax as usual across the Atlantic. Its release is scheduled for early September. Its European price is currently unknown, but do not expect to be able to acquire it for less than 3999 euros.
