As part of the first international film festival Terre Vivante in Comminges, the village of Larroque hosted Tuesday evening August 9, the second screening of the program which has eight until August 15, the other six taking place in Soueich, the first having taken place in Lieoux, Monday. In the organization, the rural center of Larroque served as a relay. Before the broadcast at the stadium, an aperitif guinguette with on-site catering had been planned as for each evening, from 6 p.m.
The films shown are all related to rurality and the peasant world.
The film “Sibel”, a Turkish drama by Çala Zencirci and Guillaume Giovanetti brought together a large audience on the gentle banks of the Sava. This captivating film, at the crossroads between documentary, fable and story committed once morest a harmful patriarchy, takes place in Turkey in a small isolated village in the mountains where Sibel lives, a young girl still installed in the house of her father, widower and mayor of the village.
