Officials from the Investigative, Scientific, Criminal and Criminalistics Corps (Cicpc) found a man arrested following stabbing a 26-year-old girl, whose head injury was caused and later received medical treatment.
F. Vargas, 30, was taken into custody in the Colombia Sur sector, in the state of Falcón, where the security forces verified that the subject had attempted once morest the woman’s life.
The facts, according to police investigations, began with an argument, in which there was a refusal on her part to leave with Vargas, who entered the house with a violent attitude.
The man was in a state of drunkenness and upon hearing the refusal by the young woman, he became enraged and pulled out a knife. He then inflicted the head wound on her and proceeded to leave the site.
Relatives of the victim appeared shortly following at the scene and took her to the emergency room at the Alfredo Van Grieken University Hospital.
The authorities received the complaint from a brother of the young woman and focused on the prompt capture of the attacker.
The woman is already in a stable health condition, as reported on Instagram by the director of the Cicpc, Douglas Rico.
The Public Ministry of the Criminal Judicial District will be in charge of processing the case.
