Through his social networks, former national tennis player Marcelo Ríos gave his support to Rejection with a video that recalls the most historic moments in Chile.
Less than a month before the Exit Plebiscite votes take place, a new and iconic character did not want to hide his option for this Sunday, September 4, and joined the campaign for Rejection; Marcelo Rios.
True to his style and with a video where it is possible to appreciate various historical moments that Chile has experienced, the ‘Chino’ made a call to put differences aside and to be responsible in these early elections.
“Again, Chile needs us united. Let’s put our differences aside and think regarding what really unites us and what is best for everyone. It is a moment in which we must be very responsible”wrote the former tennis player on his Twitter account, where he presented his video in support of the Rejection.
Recalling his feat as number one in world tennis and the great disasters that have hit the country, the current coach of Juncheng Shang (245th ATP) launched with a speech full of sports references and appealing to emotion.
“When Chile wins, an entire country comes out to celebrate. Everyone screams, but with excitement and happiness. When Chile wins, everyone feels identified, no matter if you are rich or poor. There is no destruction, there are no excesses, there is no violence”began emphasizing the former athlete.
In that sense, he added: “Are we winning this game? I have seen how our country has risen from worse catastrophes, without looking at our differences, but what unites us. We live in a historic moment, where the final of this championship is played “.
“I will vote Rejection because I want Chile, my country, to be number one once more”closed Ríos, who joined other personalities who gave their support to Rejection in recent days, such as Álvaro Rudolphy and Pablo Díaz.
