Prey director Dan Trachtenberg has revealed the fact that the ax weapon with the shield that the protagonist uses in that movie Inspired by the famous video game God of War.
Trachtenberg told CassiusLife following being asked regarding the weaponry in Prey, revealing that he was a huge fan of 2018’s God of War game and that the game was inspiring. This made him want to try creating a character that uses ax and shield like Kratos.
“The answer is very clear: Predator’s shield (inspired by Kratos’ shield) and Naru’s tomahawk (inspired by Kratos’ weapon). and pull it back Got a lot of inspiration from that game like God of War.”

At the end of the question, Trachtenberg added: He is very excited to look forward to God of War Ragnarok, which is scheduled for release on November 9th on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
Trachtenberg previously revealed that Sarah Schachner was hired to write the music for Prey because he was so impressed with the song from Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. It makes gamers know that movie director Prey is definitely a gamer.
