The open-air fans had to wait two years for the 37th edition of the Axamer village festival – logically they flocked to the village square last weekend!
Everyone that Axam village festival as a fixed point in their calendar, had to wait far too long for the known reasons. Accordingly, the preparatory work was already simmering – and when the gates to Axam’s village square were opened on Friday evening, there was no stopping them!
mass visit
The festival tigers flocked to the festival area in the open air. Finally, in addition to small and large details, the weather was also organized and so not a small cloud of rain clouded the sky at night and on Sunday. The total failure in the past two years was taken into account – there were prizes like in 2019. Accordingly, one should not be sparing with the greatest praise at this point either: The Axamer village festival with festival area including side shows up to the pavilion disco is of the dimension not to be compared with other festivals. That’s why the many Axamer club members who had to do the hard work behind the scenes at the refreshment stations deserve a big compliment, as do the service staff and everyone else who lent a hand in many areas and ensured a superlative open-air festival and recognition.
Mayoral Praise
Mayor too Thomas Suitner did not skimp on praise: “You can see what happens when the clubs work together. I congratulate the festival committee and everyone who contributed to the success. We are all very relieved that our festival has returned and hopefully will continue for a long time to come.” chairman Matthias Leisdeputy chairman and secretary Lisa Schwaningercashier Simon Leis and kit man Bernd Fauster accepted the congratulations. However, Simon Leis can no longer go any further, as he resigned his position as cashier and handed it over to Bernd Fauster.
Pre-dancers and campaigners
Grilled specialties, schnitzel, sausages, chicken and leaflets were sold in never-ending columns, people poured non-stop in the serving stations, the sound level was strained in the disco, the youngest festivalgoers enjoyed the many attractions on Sunday and the dance floor at the The main stage was cracking at every seam anyway. Not least because the mayor turned out to be a lead dancer and brought dancing skills to the dance floor both at night and in broad daylight.
By the way: Because the election campaign is on, some of those ladies and gentlemen who are vying for votes and who shine with endless good humor also joined the crowd to bathe.
